Lilia & Jarek Barc are a father-daughter writing duo based in Hong Kong.

The Dragons of the Past series began as Lilia (age 12), having read every dragon tale she could get her hands on, wanted to tell a story of her own. These books reflect Lilia’s vivid imagination and deep love of dragons, mythical creatures, and grand adventures. Lilia is the primary storyteller and creative engine behind the series, crafting the intricate lore, magical abilities, and vibrant characters like Lavender, whom she modeled after herself. Jarek acts as co-writer, graphic artist and chief editor, helping bring Lilia's expansive vision to text.

When they aren't mapping out dragon realms, you can find them traveling, diving, and crafting new stories together. Lilia loves reading, gymnastics, playing with her friends, and drinking bubble tea.
